Urbanise.com Limited (Urbanise) (ASX:UBN) announced today that Arvind Satyam Managing Director, Global Business Development Smart+Connected Communities at Cisco will join the Urbanise Advisory Board.
Together with IBM Global CIO Jeff Smith, Digicell Group CTO Fergal Kelly, entrepreneur Rowan Devereaux, Lawyer and strata property expert Gary Bugden and ex-head of property at Deloitte Australia Ian Breedon, Arvind will provide strategic advice and guidance to the Urbanise management team and insight into opportunities for the Company’s building services delivery platform within relevant Cisco initiatives.
Arvind leads business development globally for Cisco’s Smart+Connected Communities initiative, driving transformative partnerships with service providers and strategic partners and executing joint ventures, acquisitions and equity investments and was instrumental in setting up Cisco’s $100M Internet of Things (IoT) fund to execute investments in early-stage startups and incubators. Under his leadership, the team has executed iconic city projects in Barcelona, London, Songdo and various locations across the world. Arvind is also responsible for driving innovative partnerships with Accenture, Deutsche Telekom, TDC, and Orange to scale the go-to-market of Cisco’s smart city solutions.
This announcement follows a meeting of the Urbanise Advisory Board in Ireland earlier this month at which a number of senior European technology leaders were also present.
